Pilgrimage visit to the Poor Clare
CASS Alumni runs a pilgrimage every year to visit a different religious order.
So far, we have visited the Society of Jesus, the Benedictine Nuns and the Carmelite Fathers.
This year, we will visit the Poor Clare Community, which shares the charisma and spirit of the Franciscan Order.
We are very privileged to have Father John, a Franciscan Father, and a few Sisters from the Poor Clare Community to
introduce and speak to us about the charisma and practice of their order.
Date: Saturday, 25th June 2011
Time: 9:45am - 5:00pm
Location: Bethlehem Monastery, Narellan Road, Campbelltown NSW 2560
Cost: $25.00 per person (includes cost of lunch & stipend for priests & sisters)
The day will commence with mass celebrated by Fr Mario. The program includes a talk by
Fr John about the Franciscan order, a friendly informal open forum style sharing from the Sisters
of the Poor Clare Community, a group tour around the Bethlehem Monastery, and some quiet time,
concluding with a group sharing on our reflections of the pilgrimage visit. Lunch and a light afternoon tea will be provided.
We will be delighted if you can join us on this day retreat!
